About CareProximity
CareProximity helps adult children and family caregivers find the small, independent specialists who make aging at home possible: senior move managers, mobile foot and wellness care, home accessibility installers, assisted transportation, and companion support.
Why we exist
Most care directories are built around large agencies with national marketing budgets. The people families actually need are often a one-person business a few kilometres away, with no website and no way to be found. CareProximity exists to surface those micro-providers, describe what they do in plain language, and let families reach them directly.
How listings are built
- Discovery. We research local businesses in each metro we cover and publish a basic listing with their public contact details.
- Claiming. Owners can claim their listing for free, correct the details, add photos, hours and services, and respond to families.
- Verification. Verified badges are applied after an owner confirms ownership and provides business details. A badge is not a licence check, so we always tell families to ask for proof of licensing, bonding and insurance before work begins.
- Removal. If a business is miscategorised or does not want to be listed, we remove it permanently and suppress it from future research.
What it costs families
Nothing. Browsing, searching, and the concierge Match Me service are free, with no account required. We never sell family contact details. Providers can list for free and optionally pay for a more prominent listing.
Important limits
CareProximity is a directory, not a care agency, a medical provider, or a licensing body. We do not employ the specialists listed here and we do not provide medical advice. Always confirm credentials and insurance directly with the provider.
